We (Kavanagh family) would like to thank everyone for all the kind and sincere condolences. These have help greatly through this tough period. Thomas Kavanagh's (sempai) funeral was held on Wed 10th Aug 2005 and the family would like to thank everybody for their support and attendence, however, for those unable to attend we are aware your thoughts were with us. i am shocked to learn of sempai, tony kavanagh's passing. my three children and i trained under him many times when he came to ireland. he was a very, very, positive influence on our children, instilling discipline, yet with a kindness and understanding born from a great dept of knowledge of his field. i learned a great deal from him both directly and from his instructors. please extend our famillys sympathy to his family, friends, and students. we will pray that god will give you strenght. tony is remembered and prayed for in ireland. eamonn murdock

I still can't convince myself that Sempai has passed away. He was a great teacher and I will miss him.

It came as a great shock that our Sempai passed away. He was a great teacher of the art and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family and friends.
